TrendsAndBreakouts.com is a trading education content site operated from the European Union (hosted by Hostinger in the Netherlands). The site publishes blog articles about trading patterns, technical analysis, and market education. We are not a signal service and we do not provide financial advice.

What data we collect and why

Email addresses – If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address through Mailchimp.

Analytics data – We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location, device type, and referral source. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device to distinguish users and sessions.

Form submissions – If you contact us through the contact form (powered by WPForms), we receive the information you provide (typically your name, email, and message). This data is stored in our WordPress database and used only to respond to your inquiry.

Security data – Wordfence Security collects IP addresses and login attempt data to protect the site from malicious activity. This data is used for security purposes only and is not shared with third parties.

Essential cookies – WordPress sets session cookies that are necessary for the site to function. LiteSpeed Cache may also set cookies to improve page load performance. These are required for the site to work properly.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Hostinger in the Netherlands (EU). The site is protected by Wordfence Security, which provides firewall protection, malware scanning, and brute-force login protection. Access to the WordPress admin area is restricted. LiteSpeed Cache is used for performance but does not store personal data.

Data transmitted between your browser and the site is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS).

Your rights under GDPR

Because this site is hosted in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You have the right to:

  • Rectification – Ask us to correct inaccurate data

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). Security logs (Wordfence) are retained for up to 90 days.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
